Myrtle Beach Locals:     Bummz Beach Cafe

Bummz Beach Cafe - Myrtle BeachBummz Beach Cafe

We love Bummz! We also love Thumbz - the resident Hemingway cat (extra digit) that wandered off the beach and around the deck area going from patron to patron to be petted.

Most notable:
Menu was entertaining - Made us laugh as soon as we sat down and opened it up...Instead of white or wheat bread, their choices were "pale" or "tanned". They had a bunch of funny things in the menu like that.

Meal was great! We had the grilled chicken salad and the shrimp bummwich with onion straws. Portions were huge and the onion straws were nice and fat, not skimpy like we've seen other places. And the seafood cocktail sauce was made fresh from scratch (we can definitely tell the difference), which was delicious.

Service was great! Jessica served us, an aspiring photographer working three separate jobs in the Myrtle Beach area, and she was really attentive and friendly.

Oceanfront Deck - This is pretty cool, sandwiched between Camelot by the Sea and The Breakers Resort, with Tiki torches, Adirondack chairs for overflow seating on the beach, a windscreen for those who chose to be behind it, and oversized umbrellas for really scorching days.

Overall, we love this charming little restaurant and will be returning again and again at different times of the year.
